On the day of the event, cleaning was carried out along the stretch from Kinokawa Bridge to Civic Sports Plaza and Narutakigawa River confluence as well as the opposite shore by a total of 127 participants who are employees and family members of NTT West Wakayama Group.
Blessed with a cloudy weather, participants performed their work while enjoying the refreshing river breeze.
Thanks to the support of the participants, trash that was illegally dumped on the riverbed and surrounding areas was collected, which helped to restore the beauty of Kinokawa River.
At the same time, it also provided a good opportunity for the participants to deepen their understanding of the actual environmental problems.
In addition to this river cleaning activity, NTT West Wakayama Group also takes part in activities such as the "10,000 People Mass Cleaning" held at the center of Wakayama City as well as the "Tanabe Bay Cleaning Mission" at areas adjacent to Tanabe Bay. We will continue to engage actively in the promotion of community-based environmental conservation activities.
