As part of the "Midori Ippai Project,"NTT West Nagasaki Group held the annual "Dejima Building (Main) Flowerbed Maintenance" activity.

In order for everyone in the local community to enjoy the flowers for as long a period as possible, we have been preparing the nursery beds prior to the actual planting activity starting two years ago. This year, the nursery beds were prepared on May 31 (Tuesday) and planted on June 10 (Friday). A total of 25 employees from NTT West Nagasaki Group companies that are tenants of Dejima Building (main and annex) took part in the activity on these two days.

Rainy season had started and the weather conditions were uncertain on the day of planting on June 10 (Friday), but fortunately the sky cleared up since the early morning, and the weather as ideal for planting. By the time the activity started at 10:00 a.m., the temperature was rising and participants had to pay attention not to suffer from heatstroke as they engaged in their work.

After the opening address by Mr. Seto, Manager of Planning and General Affairs Section at NTT West Nagasaki Branch, the participating employees planted about 200 seedlings of colorful flowers while figuring out the most presentable layout. The activity was completed in about an hour.

As with the previous year, we believe the colorful flowers that bloom for a long time will offer a pleasant view to the local residents who pass by the area.

NTT West Nagasaki Group will continue to promote the "Midori Ippai Project" in future.
