Midori Ippai Project Activities 썬 시티 카지노클린 비치 이시카와 인 카나자와! May 29, 2016 NTT West Hokuriku Group
On May 29, 2016 (Sunday), a total of 230 employees and family members of NTT West Hokuriku Company and its group companies took part in "Clean Beach Ishikawa in Kanazawa," a beach protection activity to clean up the coastline of Ishikawa.
With the "Midori Ippai Project" flag swaying under the clear sky at 6:40 a.m., a greeting was delivered by Mr. 토미모리, Head of the Regional Headquarters, to uplift the spirits of the participants before they started at 7:00 a.m. to move along the 1km stretch of the coastline at the Senkoji area (Kanazawa City) and pick up litter along the way.
The participants spoke to and cooperated with one another as they proceeded, and filled the trash bags with trash in no time.
Like-minded people hoping to "do something for the community and the environment" gathered on this day at five different sites in Kanazawa City, and helped to restore the cleanliness of the coast by collecting about 15 tons of trash including empty bottles and cans as well as plastic pieces.
This is the 22th year of the "Clean Beach Ishikawa" activity, but the sight of people perspiring as they pick up trash that is washed ashore has remained unchanged over the years.
We will continue to engage in the "Clean Beach Ishikawa" activity in order to fulfill the responsibility of handing down a clean environment to future generations as well as to protect the nature of our hometown.
