도고 파크, a prefectural city park of Ehime with an area of 8.6ha, has an almost round shape with a diameter of approximately 350m. At the center of the park is a forest with a height of 30m. The park is a relaxation spot for the local residents, and is known for attracting large groups of people who visit the park in spring to enjoy the cherry blossoms.
On December 12 (Saturday), NTT West Group held the "Clean Environment Mission 2015 in Ehime" as part of the "Midori Ippai Project." The objectives of the mission are to carry out activities to conserve the forest at the center of the park as well as to clean sightseeing facilities such as the Shiki Memorial Museum and Yuzukijo Museum that are located next to the park.
The Clean Environment Mission carries out activities to conserve the environment of the park by gathering fallen leaves in the park and scattering them in the forest at the center as leaf mold. Despite the cloudy and chilly weather on the day of the event, all the participants engaged energetically in the activities and cleaned up the park in no time.
